The CIP has become the minimum educational standard for those engaged in
delivering advice on General Insurance Policies under Minimum Competency
Requirements as set down by the Financial Regulator in July 2006.
In order to use your designation awarded by the Insurance Institute of Ireland,
you are obliged to:

fully participate in the CPD programme and comply with all of its
requirements and
-
maintain annual membership of The Insurance Institute of Ireland and where
applicable the CII
In order to use your designation awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute,
you are obliged to:

fully participate in the CPD programme and comply with all of its
requirements and
-
maintain annual membership of The Insurance Institute of Ireland and where
applicable the CII
Any breach of these conditions may result in the loss of your designation, as
awarded by your Professional body.
This process is essential in maintaining the credibility and standing of the
qualification and of those who continue to hold it.
